On Monday, October 22, 2001, Peabody Energy will announce a significant project planned for Southern Illinois. The announcement will be made at the Washington County Courthouse in Nashville, Ill., at 11 a.m.

Peabody Energy is the world's largest private-sector coal company. Its coal products fuel more than 9 percent of all U.S. electricity generation and more than 2 percent of worldwide electricity generation.

Directions to Washington County Courthouse: I-64 East to IL-127 South (Exit 50) to Nashville. Turn right at the first stop light in Nashville. Go one block to the County Courthouse, 245 North Kaskaskia Street.
