Jeff Quinn Joins Peabody as Vice President of Tax

Peabody Energy today announced that Jeff Quinn has joined the company as Vice President of Tax, reporting to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Richard A. Navarre.

Quinn assumes management responsibility for income tax compliance, planning, accounting and audit functions. Quinn is a certified public accountant and licensed attorney with nearly 25 years of broad corporate tax experience. Previously, he was Director of Tax at Solutia Inc., formerly Monsanto Company's chemical business. He has more than 20 years of management and tax counsel experience at Monsanto and affiliate companies.

Reporting to Quinn are Director of Tax Planning and Audits Jacquelyn A. Jones and Director of Tax Compliance and Reporting Robert F. Bruer.

Quinn earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Missouri at Columbia; a law degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas; an advanced law degree in taxation from the University of Missouri in Kansas City and an executive master of business administration from Washington University in St. Louis. Quinn is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Bar Association.
