Anne O'Donnell and Mark L. Davis Join Peabody's Legal Services Group

Peabody Energy today announced Anne Wathen O'Donnell has joined the company as Senior Counsel for Appalachia Operations, and Mark L. Davis has joined the company as Senior Counsel for Generation Development. Both report to Vice President of Legal Services Jeffery L. Klinger.

O'Donnell is responsible for legal matters relating to Peabody subsidiaries and affiliates in Appalachia. She has nearly 15 years of legal experience and previously served as Assistant General Counsel for Arch Coal, Inc., providing legal advice and counsel in litigation, labor and employment and real estate.

O'Donnell has a juris doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Law in Kentucky and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.

Davis will provide legal counsel for Peabody's generation development projects, including the Thoroughbred Energy Campus in Kentucky, the Prairie State Energy Campus in Illinois and the Mustang Generating Station in New Mexico.

Davis has practiced transactional law since 1991 and previously was Senior Corporate Counsel for a diversified energy company where he provided counsel for the holding company, its unregulated power subsidiary, and its regulated utility subsidiary for matters related to power projects and finance.

Davis has a juris doctorate from the New York University School of Law in New York City and a bachelor of arts degree with honors from Grinnell College in Iowa.
