Peabody Energy Names Houdyshell and Sutter to Posts as Senior Counsel

Peabody Energy today announced that it has named Lisa Anne Houdyshell and Bryan L. Sutter to posts as Senior Counsel, reporting to Vice President and Associate General Counsel Joseph W. Bean.

Houdyshell will provide legal counsel for matters relating to commercial and real estate transactions, information systems contracts and other general corporate matters. Houdyshell has 10 years of experience in the legal field. Prior to joining Peabody, she served as counsel at Bryan Cave LLP, representing clients in real estate, construction and banking.

Houdyshell holds a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Webster University in St. Louis, and a juris doctorate (cum laude) from the St. Louis University School of Law.

Sutter will provide legal counsel for corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance and commercial contracts. Sutter has 12 years of experience in the legal field. Prior to joining Peabody, he held several positions with Bunge North America, including Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary.

Sutter holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and a juris doctorate from the Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville.
