The board of directors of Peabody Energy today declared a regular quarterly dividend on its common stock of $0.06 per share. The dividend is payable on March 4, 2008, to holders of record on Feb. 12, 2008.

Peabody Energy is the world's largest private-sector coal company. Its coal products fuel approximately 10 percent of all U.S. electricity generation and more than 2 percent of worldwide electricity.
