BRISBANE, September 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Peabody Energy (NYSE:BTU) President and Chief Operating Officer Glenn L. Kellow has been awarded the University of Newcastle’s 2014 Alumni Award for International Leadership.
The Alumni Award for International Leadership recognizes outstanding University of Newcastle, Australia graduates who have made significant contributions as international leaders in business, commerce, industry or public service.

Kellow is a global business leader who joined Peabody in 2013. Based in the United States, he is responsible for all aspects of the company's global operations. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (1993) and a Bachelor of Commerce (1989) from the University of Newcastle.
The Alumni Awards are presented annually by the University of Newcastle’s Alumni Advisory Committee. This year the Alumni Awards celebrated 'game changers' - the unconventional thinkers, the challengers, the people who push boundaries and see possibilities. Kellow was a co-recipient with Colonel Leonard Brennan of the Australian Army.
